The STEAM-3D introductory workshop provides participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in infectious disease modelling and analysis, programming, knowledge translation, and evidence-informed policymaking. Designed for individuals from diverse disciplinary backgrounds, the workshop aims to strengthen capacity to generate, analyse, interpret, and communicate evidence that supports public health decision-making across Africa. The workshop is expected to be of benefit to public health researchers who have completed at least one introductory course in statistics. For this introductory workshop, participation is limited to applicants residing in, or affiliated with, institutions in South Africa, Malawi, Mozambique, and Cameroon
